060708: Just trying to post . . .

posted Saturday, 7 June 2008

Well, after checking my stats, I’ve had this blog for over 3

years; however, it doesn’t seem that long of a stretch of time.

And all of those who’ve come and gone. Not getting

sentimental, but feeling the pull of time passing. Tonight. I sit

in front of the computer, with headphones on and working.

Listening to the most current re-master of Joy Division’s 1979

release ‘Unknown Pleasures’ as the temp here in NYC suburbia

is still around 84 degrees, and thankful for central air!

My subscription is weeks from expiring, and I’ve to decide if I

want to continue blogging. Some tremendous people out there

on “The Net” and it almost seems like a no-brainer. There’s a

great big world out there, and to be able to converse, through a

blog, with people all around the world, is special.

Right now, I’ve got to direct my focus towards obtaining

employment, and taking care of

my right knee, as, after surgery in 2002, has been swollen since

Thursday, and my doctor, who’s a great guy, and told me I

need to see my orthopedist surgeon, the same 1 who worked on

my wife. My MD stated that he couldn’t do much more than

writing a subscription for Celebrex, as well as 1 for Lipitor, as

my cholesterol  Been icing and elevating the knee, and yet, I

have no idea what I could have done to inflame the knee.

And, my In-law’s and I are on bad terms at the moment, as I

had issues with my father-in-law sending, at least to me, a vibe

regarding my looking for work. Forget the fact that I’ve had

Jury Duty for 3 weeks, which just ended, and was a difficult to

decide the verdict. So, it’s Saturday night, and I’ve been

staring at a screen for 4 hours, and for what? Tomorrow has a

busy schedule, and then, it’s right back to uncertainty for the

 week ahead.

Honey has Gout that has been acting up a lot lately. I think this funky weather has something to do with it. I think it's about grilling temperature for humans here in PA. Four days at 400 degrees, add some sauce and dig in. Yum. AC and icing sound really good about now. Take care of you first, everything else will fall in place.

Who was it that said an idle mind is the devils workshop? Well anyway they said it before internet was available.

I certainly hope you continue. If you decide to continue someplace else (like blogger or wordpress) please let us know where you are.

You're in my thoughts, Kevin. I'm a believer in following the signs. Maybe the signs are pointing you into a different direction. I know I've said this before. In a moment of desperation, in 2004 I took a job outside of my field and well below the level I had previously achieved. I was surprised to find great comfort in just ordinary work. I know so many folks who've started over in the oddest places (coffee shops are big for this). Perhaps "the universe" is suggesting that it's time to change professions? I'm just throwing stuff out there, hoping something might stick. Bless y'all.

No matter what's happened to me I've remained here at Blog-City. I hope you do too. Some left after it became a Paid site and I must admit, some of the old magic went out of the place. I left a job I had which I loved because the pay was bad and went elsewhere and hated it. I tried to go back to the previous job but it was never the same again. I have sympathy with you on the knee front, it's my right knee too. I'm taking cod liver oil and glucosamine sulphate daily for it.
