Well, it's been a while. And, I'm still here? Yes, I think I
am! Listening to "You Move Me" from the late great UK
band The Comsat Angels, from the UK Label RPM release,
'7 Day Weekend', that quotes from the 2 best lines that
the blues great Robert Johnson wrote! "The train had 2
lights on that night, Blue was my blues, red was my
mind!" Who said UK band had no soul!
I've stopped by various blogs, but haven't added
anything, and I apologize for that, but it seemed that
whenever I tried to leave a comment, my computer
would send an "error" message, so I didn't bother. My
mistake!
Well, I'm still married, and Dino's 1 happy dog! My wife's
had 2 surgeries, and is going to physical therapy. She
seems happy for the most part, but I've had my share of
small screw ups. I'm not working, again, had it w/ the
Insurance Co., and was let go/left, but work had slowed
down anyway. Now, I'm searching for something,
anything (almost)! It's funny, I got caught up in this
whole occult thing, as I've always been curious, so I
bought a bunch of books off of Amazon, and well, money
not well spent. I'm searching for something that inhabits
my nightmares, yet feels so close, hard to explain, but
I've been down this road before. I've seen all Catholicism
has to offer, believe me, I've been to Lourdes, France,
and I disown it, as I know there's something more, but,
this isn't the forum for that. Anyway, I'm still here, paid
up to June of '08, and wonderin' how my fellow bloggers
are making out! Thanks to those who left messages, as I
was a ship w/out a course, adrift on an ocean of mental
anguish, as the jobs I thought were out there, are few
and hard to find, but that's my struggle for the moment!
If anyone comes across this, my wish is good thoughts
for them, and a pleasant Sunday, 021708, and we'll see,
right?
*mops brow furiously*
You had me sweatin' ! So very glad to see you back.
two surgeries! God Bless her! Glad Dino is having a good time. Dogs will
generally find one if there is one to be found. So glad the work "force"
hasn't overpowered you. How I'd love to move out to a piece of land with a
bunch of sheep. watch them eat the lawn while cobwebs form on the
lawnmower, and once a year shave them down and sell the wool. IF only
there was a living in it! Welcome back and my prayers to Wifey and you!!
Hi Kevin,
Glad to read your new post. :) Welcome back.
Sounds like things are not working out too well for you still. I wish I can
say everything will be alright, but I have to admit that sometimes (or many
times) life sucks. :( Hang in there, if nothing else you have fellow blog
friends who are wising you for the best.
Kevin, we all missed you! Was really getting worried what's happened to
you. Though, my heart goes for you. it seems you're in for not so pleasant
ride. I wish it were that easy to quote on something Catholic for you to
feel better but from the looks of it, it wouldn't work anyway. But keep
strong, things will turn around. You know you can always bank on this
community for support ;) (hugs)
good to hear from you - hang in there, Kev. As for the occult...I don't
know - world is dark enough for me already when I stare at it hard enough.
Try "The Road Less Traveled" by M. Scott Peck. And oldie, but a goodie. I
went back to work full time - so living vicariously through you guys.
Good to hear from you, K.G.! For some reason you sound more grounded than
before you left blogging. It sounds as though you've been going through
self analysis while going through your experiences. The church for you is
the CHURCH OF KEVIN. The more you explore the feelings within (where they
come from, how they make you feel, & what can be done to overcome those
feelings) the more grounded you'll feel regarding life.
Two more weeks and I'm joining you in the unemployment line. I'm glad for
it though. The carpet needs to be cleaned.
The ships without course are the best ones ;). Thats when you get lost and
find the island of treasures :D.
Golly, Kev, I thought I'd commented earlier but clearly was wrong. I hope
you're doing alright and want to thank you for updating 'cause, well, bein'
a mom, you know I worry. I hope you're finding something. You know I'm a
big fan of the anything aspect, the more anything, the better (starbucks
anyone?). Watch the Karate Kid. Wax On. Wax Off. Bless you, darlin'. Watch
out for that occult stuff. Need to hold onto concrete good while dipping
one's toes into that which is so much bigger. Happy Easter, dear one. My
best to you and yours. Peace.
Carry our best wishes, wherever you go, whether you report back or not.
They don't weigh much, even though there's a whole bunch of 'em.
